The Union of Planetary Republics:
.
You check to make sure the room is clear, and then you run to the left.  You think you hear a noise, so you duck for cover.  But nothing happens, and nobody comes looking for you.  So you get back up and make another run for the pirate ship.  If they took the Spacers in there, you might be able to set the Spacers free.  But that means you would have to get inside the pirate ship.

There's a guard at the gangway of the pirate ship, so you can't just run on board that way.  You begin to quietly circle around the ship to look for a way in.  In the back of the ship, you find another gangway ramp, but there's no guard.  You walk quietly to the ramp.  Up at the top of the ramp, there are no guards.  It looks like it's safe to walk up the ramp, so you quietly go up, and into the pirate ship.

The inside of the pirate ship is somewhat dark and dirty-looking, and smelly.  It's nothing like the clean bright insides of the Starfalcon.  You wonder if the pirates ever clean out their ship, or if they even care about the smell.  You find a door at the top of the gangway, and it opens for you.

There is a long hallway that goes all the way from the back of the ship to the front, and you can see the light from the other gangway.  But there's a strange green light coming from somewhere else.  You follow that, until you find a large room, with people in the middle.  They're trapped inside a glowing green force field that's keeping them in the middle of the room.

"Let us out of here, please," a man inside the force field says.

"I don't know where the controls are," you say.

"We think they're over there," the man says.  He points to a small panel on the wall of the room.  You walk to the panel and take a look.  None of the buttons on the control panel say anything you can understand.  That's when you realize that it's not written in Standard, the language of the Union.  This writing looks more like Tal'adaar'aan.  You look a bit closer in the dim light, and you realize that there are letters written on top of the Tal'adaar'aan words.  Each letter must stand for something.

"Can you turn off the force field?" the man asks.

"I'm trying," you answer.  Then you see a red button, with a little lightning bolt drawn on it.  There is another Tal'adaar'aan letter on this button, but it looks just like a lightning bolt.  Taking a wild guess, you assume this button is the one.  You shut your eyes and press the button with the palm of your left hand.

When you open your eyes, the green light is gone!  You did it.  The people stand up and walk around the room, and come to thank you.  There must have been fifty people in there.  You think to yourself:  "I've saved fifty people from the pirates."  But none of them were the people from the Starfalcon.  You wonder where they went, and go to look for them on the pirate ship.
