    You run down the gangway of the pirate ship as the guard marches in the other direction.  But halfway down, the guard hears you, and whirls around to face you.  Before you can take another step, she has her laser pistol pointed at you.

    "Who are you," the pirate asks, "and what do you think you're doing on this ship?"

    You have two choices.  You could tell the truth, and hope that the pirate guard doesn't kill you as soon as you confess.  Or you could lie to her and hope she is fooled long enough for you to make a getaway.  For some reason, you don't think either will work.

    "I said who are you, and what do you think you're doing on this ship?"

    You'd better come up with something quick, or the pirate might just shoot you where you stand!
