Ok. This is not your average,
everyday,
ordinary HOME page. This is seriously my HOME page, as in a page about
my HOME, where I live, in REAL life... and the trials and tribulations of
this living experience. I am still developing the structure of this section,
but I can give you a few little details to begin with here:
Up until mid-January, I
lived in the University District
of Seattle, on
frat row, which means there were a lot of little UW fratsnots and sorobitches
running around all the time. I learned the mating call of the fratboynius
testosteroneous: "WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" with one fist in the air and a
cheap
beer in the other. I also learned the mating call of the soro slutiens:
"I'm
soooo drunk!!" followed by a high-pitched shrieking giggle and a hair flip.
If ever you find yourself alone in a college town, beware these signals,
and be well armed.
I lived in a sort of boarding
house, which means that
I lived with a bunch of people I didn't know, except for my "roommates,"
which
over the six months I lived there, consisted of
aeri, Oz,
Jeff (a.k.a. "Jefe," pronounced
heff'-ay), and Manaman.
We lived in the basement,
so it was like
The People Under the Stairs, or something. We were the "freaks." Actually,
one of the girls who lived upstairs asked aeri, "All you people down in the
basement are like a bunch of computer nerds, huh?" 'Nuff said.
Oz, Jefe and Manaman moved out
in November, so then it
was just me and aeri.
On December 28, the basement
flooded, due to a bunch
of rain that came along after we had like 8 feet of snow over two days, and
all this nasty water somehow found its way up through the cracks in the
foundation. A lot of our stuff got ruined, and the basement was a swamp for
a few weeks.
We were looking for a new place
that whole time, and
we finally found one (a two-bedroom apartment) and moved in on January 14.
That's where we are now.
And it's hella piaamp... But...
We're moving again at the end of July. We still don't know exactly where. Once we're all situated, I'll be updating this page again, so check back around mid-August, if you care.
more to come....
