Historical Background: The Banshee has a complicated history. Originally designed by the Federation, the plans for it were stolen by a Free Federation mole. Meant to be a lone fighter to antagonize Imperial forces, the Banshee became an icon of the FFM. It's superb in dogfights and one-one-one conflicts, so it was the ideal craft for the FFM. After the plans were stolen by the FFM, the Federation discontinued its own plans for the Banshee which included a special energy bomb that would regenerate in hyperspace. While these blueprints were most likely purged by the Federation, the FFM is still seeking documents pertaining to this device. The Banshee has a front and rear laser mounting, but most pilots equip a single 20MW laser on the front mounting, leaving room for a Class 1 Military Drive and fuel. The bottom of this craft is black. It's fast and manueverable, but that's to be expected for its size. The Banshee contains a special, advanced gravitic drive that can generate thrust in any direction and faster than any other gravitic thruster on the market. The Federation has shoot to kill orders on this vessel.

It plays like a slower, larger Osprey X. It was developed covertly by the FFM (with the help from the Organisation), and is the only ship unique to it. The Banshee has a unique gravitic thruster that is capable of generating thrust at 22gs. There could also be a mission (in the prequel) to recover the rechargeable energy bomb, called the Banshee's wail, but this need not make it the 'ultimate' ship. The bomb only recharges after a hyperspace (it collects high-energy particles during transit), and would not be swapable from ship to ship. Listen carefully, and hear the Banshee's wail... A FFM craft.

Note: This craft will be also be used in the prequel, as a FFM ship. In TEP, the Banshee would be piloted by some of The Ancients, the remains of humanity in the old galaxy. More specifically, it would be found more near the segments of humanity who are found with the Augurs.
