Energy vs. Matter:
The Taelons are composed of energy, they have matter within them. When to treat them and when to treat them as energy is a matter that causes some confusion. Convention weapons do not work against them: bullets pass right through them. Skrill fire would kill one in theory, but that technology they entrust only to those they ensure the loyalty of with a CVI. |

Mythology:
Taelon mythology was something investigated at several times. A implanted madman scrawled a Taelon myth upon his jail cell's wall with his own blood. The episode that began with this raised many questions: Do the characters involved tell the history of the Taelon race? Do they foretell things to come? There was even a figure on the wall Da'an refused to explain to Boone, who was referenced later by a raging Taelon. "The sleeper comes, embrace the void." Who is this sleeper? What will it/he/she be capable of? |

Unearthly visitors:
The first Taelons to set foot on Earth did not do so publically. One Taelon, Ma'el walked the planet somewhere around 1 AD, and at that time "he" gifted some humans with psychic abilities. What else may "he" have done? A composite of Christ, Buddha, and Moses yields the image at right; clearly Taelon. Did "he" alter human history further? |

CVIs:
Instantaneous genius in exchange for slavery of the mind. The dilemmas of this unique circumstance was considered in many episodes from several angles. |
