Appears in: Revenge Road
Biography
Doctor Raven was another great mind in the world of mechanics. He was a good friend of Doctor Katsuhito Stingray's and knew his two children, Sylia and Mackie. Doctor Stingray owned a workshop rather than working in an upscale lab. He fixed old cars, trucks, and of course, motorcycles. He was a very intelligent man and a very good man, despite his cranky outward appearance. When Doctor Stingray was killed in the lab 'accident,' Doctor Raven took it upon himself to take care of Sylia and Mackie. His attentions were focused mostly on the younger Mackie than on Sylia, but he cared for them both as well as he could.
Doctor Raven knew a young couple who had been injured in a highway accident. J.B. Gibson and Naomi Anderson were both hurt during an assault awhile back. Gibson went on a mad quest for revenge and began asking Doctor Raven for help. When the Doctor figured out what Gibson was doing he refused to aid him any further. Gibson became angry and left the Doctor behind. He was so worried about Gibson and Naomi that he asked the Knight Sabers to save Gibson before he made a fatal mistake. Priss contacted Sylia and the job was set. The payment would be upgrades on the Motoroids for free. Doctor Raven was appalled when Priss offered that as payment without his permission, but she responded by reminding him that for him, it would be cheap.
After saving Gibson, Priss had to repair the Highway Star that Mackie had built. She asked Doctor Raven for help, for the first time calling him Doctor Raven as she asked. He responded by lightly telling her that "Pops" was okay.
Personality
At first he seems to be a crusty, rude old man, but Doctor Raven cared deeply for Sylia, Mackie, and Priss. He knew the other Knight Sabers too, but those were obviously his favorites. He fixed Priss' bike constantly because she trashed it on a fairly regular basis.
Doctor Raven was one of the most trustworthy characters in the series. He made friends and would do anything for them, including hiding the Knight Sabers' training facility in Raven's Garage, his workshop. He was a kind old man who looked like Albert Einstein and wore a jumpsuit that said "Winner Nobel Prize for Science." Knowing him, he probably could have won that prize if he had tried.
