Composing a chord is easy. You have your basic types of cords and how they are
made. Like your favorite recipe, chords have ingredients too. So lets roll up your sleeves for some Chord 'Al Carte.
Remember back in school when the music teacher had you singing Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, Do, over and over again?
Well chords are made up of these sounds. Just replace the sounds with numbers and your half way there!
Huh? What do you mean?
You ask -- Well that's simple look at the table below for the sounds and there related numbers:
Do
Re
Mi
Fa
So
La
Ti
Do
1
2
3
4
5
6
7

O.K., why is there two number 1's? Well that's easy -- both number ones are Do's.
The second Do is the same pitch as the first Do, it's just alittle bit higher.
