So you want to know the Chord Types huh?

What is a chord type you ask? Well, I'm glad that you asked because, Now you have your chord types. Stay with me now this is pretty simple to. You have your Major, Minor, Augmented, Diminished (I remember them as My Moms At Doctors). The table below shows the properties of each basic chord type:

Chord Types:

Major 1 3 5
Minor 1 b3 5
Augmented 1 3 #5
Diminished 1 b3 b5
Confused yet? Question, what are the sounds that make up a Major Chord?
The answer will come later. O.K., time for an example, an A Major ingredients are? 1,3,5 -- see I knew you knew this stuff.
