Reviews:

Review by Eric Vandenberg:
Steve's first solo album can only be described with one word: BEAUTIFUL.
Yes, indeed, the compositions, moods and atmosphere in these songs are
just plain beautiful.
The opener "Ghostwind" sets the atmospheric mood of the record, and
prepares the listener for what follows.

One of my all-time favourites is Song No.2, "The Road Home"....I don't
know how often I listened to the track, but due to it's wonderful, uplifting
melodies and it's very positive mood, it still sends shivers down my spine.

"Country Colours" is another rather quiet track, in which we can hear
Steve's country-influences again.

Then another one of my faves: "Highland Wedding". All instruments on
here ( Classic guitar, Acoustic 6 & 12 String, Electric Guitar and Synths )
were played by Steve alone, and the scottish melody and the very "open"
sound of this song are just wonderful !

"Third Power" and "Looking back" rush by, and during each song you
wish they could be longer.

A special surprise then with "Leprechaun Promenade": Steve Morse,
Andy West, Rod Morgenstein, T.Lavitz and Allen Sloan... a Dregs-re-
union ! The song was originally released on "Night Of The Living Dregs",
and gets a "1989"-treatment here...

"Tumeni Notes" should satisfy every fan of modern guitar shredding:
Steve's classical-inspired arpeggios in the beginning and later his incre-
dible "arpeggio-rolls" should bring tears into the eyes of every
"Shrapnel-fan" =)

After "Endless Waves", Steve gives us "Modoc", another one of his
"electric chamber music"-pieces, recorded with a Stereo Electric Classical
Guitar, recorded direct to Digital Master". The perfect conclusion for a
very special, quite beautiful recording.

This CD is not only for fans of great guitar-playing. Everyone who likes to
be carried away by wonderful melodies, moods and atmospheres, everyone
who likes to have music projecting pictures in his / her head, and everyone
who just likes to be inspired to dream a little should listen to this.
And fans of the guitar and of Steve's music won't be disappointed at all,
either !!!
