Auxiliary Percussion Director

Miss Joanne McConnell received her Bachelor's degree in music education in 1990 from the University of Akron and her Master's in percussion performance from the University of Illinois in 1992. She has since been employed in the New Philadelphia school system where her responsibilities have included teaching instrumental music as well as middle school choir.

For the past five years, Miss McConnell has worked with the Field High School marching percussion section. She also teaches private percussion lessons and is an adjudicator of OMEA solo and ensemble contests.
