27-7-98:Hole are now shooting the first video from their new album, celebrity skin, but drummer Patty Schemel isn't there, she is said to be "on holiday for personal reasons. A number of other drummers were auditioned to sit in for her, with the ultimate choise being Samanta Maloney of the band Shift. Maloney will appear in the clip, but her face will not.

29-7-98:Courtney Love is making the rounds in the European press, but she is taking some precautions with her. Love is attemping to make European TV and radio reporters sign a pre-interview agreement that prohibits reporters from asking questions about Love's late husband, or director Nick Broomfield's documentary "Kurt & Courtney",or any band member's personal life. The agreement stipulates that these subjects can be broached only if Love herself brings them up. Back in the USA, Hole is scheduled to play the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards on September 10 in Los Angeles, But will not mounting a tour til '99.

8-09-98:New Hole's album "Celebrity Skin" comes out in USA (In Europe Sept. 10). more of the lyrics were written by Love in New Orleans during 1996 and 1997. Michael Beinhorn produced the album in LA and NY. Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins) helped the band write five songs and plaied bass on one of them.
