Interviews

Armored Saint
It's definitely not exaggerated to talk about the return of a legend. Nine years after the release of their last album 'Symbol Of Salvation', Armored Saint have come back with another smash album called 'Revelation'. In early January we were talking to their bass player Joey Vera on the phone. This interview also got airplayed on Radio ARA on February 20th.
Artillery
Already formed in 1982, Danish band artillery belonged to the pioneers of the Thrash Metal movement. Although they released killer albums like 'Terror Squad' or 'By Inheriance', they got no support from their record labels and split up in the early nineties. At the end of 1999, Artillery wanted to try it again and released another smasher called 'B.A.C.K.'. Now read what frontman Flemming Ronsdorf was telling us about past, presence and future. This interview got airplayed on Radio ARA on December 5th.
Galactic Cowboys
In a period of about 10 years, the Galactic Cowboys from Texas have released six great album. Their latest CD 'Let It Go' is unfortunately also a farewell to their fans as different musicians are concentrating on their solo careers. Monty Colvin (guitar, vocals) was talking about the band's current situation and about future activities. This interview got airplayed on Radio ARA on August 6th.
Grope
Grope from Danmark are back after nearly two years in absence. It's been two turbulent years that have sent the band through extreme highs and lows Their new album 'Intercooler' also introduces two new band members. But read now what founding member Tue Madsen had to tell about past, present and future. This interview got airplayed on Radio ARA on November 21st.
Peter Hammill
It was a sunny Sunday afternoon when we made us on our way to meet Peter Hammill for a little chat before his concert at Sandweiler this evening. After first meeting Peter Hammill in Brussels 1993, we used our second chance to ask him how life has been these last years and what to expect of him in the future. And in contrast to many other people, Peter Hammill is always a good storyteller. Read for yourself...
Mortician
Mortician surely belong to the most extreme Metal bands on this world. Their actual CD 'Chainsaw Dismemberment' is a pure provocation, in every aspect: music, lyrics, cover artwork. These were three good reasons to an interview with this band. So band member Roger Beaujard took some time to answer the questions we were sending to him via e-mail.
Nebula
Nebula are one of the many bands from the so-called stoner rock scene, but don't panic, they sound a lot different than many other bands from that 'scene'. We got hold of Nebula's singer/guitarist Eddie Glass (E) and drummer Ruben Romano (R), who were in a very good mood after their great gig. And they had good reason to, because not only we preferred their bluesy guitar rock to Unida, the headliner on the tour. Here's what Nebula had to say.
re-Vision
Nowadays, it has become difficult to find Metal bands which don't include too many clichés into their music. One of the few exceptions are re-Vision from Germany. Their self-titled debut (1997) was already quite promising. But three years later, their first full-length-CD 'Whore Venus' was surprising Pascal and Lex who both experienced while listening how contemporary Metal should sound. Bass player Christoph Lücker knew a lot to tell about past, present and future. This German spoken interview got airplayed on Radio ARA on June 11th.
Soccer
Sometimes, I discover Pop music bands I really like, like Soccer from Cologne / Germany. They combine melodic Pop tunes with noisy guitar riffs which gives their music a very interesting touch. Singer Dieter Peter Neumann was telling a lot about the band and Guitar Pop in general. This German spoken interview got airplayed on Radio ARA on July 16th.
