Knife to cut wax
Gold paint (optional) and paintbrush.

1. Size your beeswax. Our wax sheets come in a rectangle length that is long enough to fold in half to make squares, and then it is a simple matter to cut each square into two triangles.

2. (Optional) Paint the long edge of the triangle with gold paint (let it dry before you roll.)

3. Cut a piece of wick a few cms longer than the candle will be. Place the wick along one edge of the triangle and push it into the wax.

4. Slowly roll the candle. I usually use the bottom edge as a guide to keep the candle straight.

If you are finding the wax a little hard to work, get a hairdryer and quickly warm it up. Don't hold it over too long or the wax will be sticky. In most cases, this will be unnecessary as the heat in your hands will be all the warmth you need to keep the wax soft enough to work with.

The tighter you roll, the longer the candle will burn.
