A recipe from Jennifer Holvoet that goes with the Three Little Pigs
story.
Pigs in a Cozy House
Ingredients:
Hot dogs (or vienna sausage if your students don't work on cutting)
Regrigerator biscuits or cresent rolls (these come in a cylindrical can
and are kept in the refrigerator)
1. Wash hands
2. Cut hot dogs in half using serrated plastic knife
(this allows teaching about fractions)
3. Open biscuits
4. Separate biscuits
5. Take a biscuit and roll it out so it is bigger
6. Place the hot dog on one side of the flattened biscuit
7. Roll the biscuit up so the hot dog is inside.
8. Bake following directions on can. Can be baked in toaster oven.
9. Dip in catsup or barbeque sauce to eat.
