Here is the cover of the insert booklet (all three of the Legend insert pictures will form one larger picture).

When I first put these sound clips up back in 1998, they came off of a Master copy of the CD. The lead singer sent me the "Reference" copy so that I could get some clips up on this site well in advance of the release (for some promotion). Normally I picked which clips to use for the other CD's. For this one, he chose what to use. Here is a picture of the CD he sent along with the note that came with it. It's hard to tell it from the picture, but that is a black "Tower Mastering" CD.

I am listening to Legend II as I write these words, and am simply in awe of what I am hearing. The emotional level is so high--so intense. As the second part of any trilogy, it is darker--bleaker. Matthias Mittelstadt, one of the managers, had to take a break half way through the disc when he first heard it because he was so overwhelmed he didn't think he could make it all the way through. I feel like I am sitting at the feet of a poet such as Homer, and hearing not the history of an ancient peoples or the heroic past, but of one of the greatest moments in all of time that still looms somewhere before us. The disc is now available in Europe and in the US (through Diamonte). It contains the music of Ensemble Cantabile again (recoded in St. Stephans Kirche), and many of the instrumental themes that appeared in Legend I appear again in Legend II. They once again put sound clips from "Jesus of Nazareth" (as well as from other sources which I do not recognize) in the background of the interludes found between the songs (I have found out that the clips are from over 50 different sources, and other than a few quotes from John the Baptist or Jesus, they are all new for each albumn. By the end of the trilogy the entire book of Revelation will have been read in the background during these interludes. A lot of times there are around 48 tracks on top of each other going into what we hear).Try RadRockers for copies of the European version (slightly different packaging).
--Legend II was mixed by Saviour Machine along with Bruno Kramm of the German band "Das Ish".

*"New World Order" will be released as a single in late May (along with three mixes of "Behold A Pale Horse"--the version which is on Legend II, a club version, and a classical version.) The order of the story places the song after "The Covenant", which is why it appears there in the above listing of songs (and will appear that way on the song list found on Legend II) even though it is not on the Legend II disc.
