KARL IGLER

Karl's first influences of music came from Robin Trower, Rainbow and "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust." Karl began playing bass in high school. Naturally a "lefty", the lack of left-handed instruments made him a right-handed player. He played in and around the Albany, New York area for ten years, playing in several original and cover bands ranging from hard rock, heavy metal, southern rock and fusion.

At a time when most of his contemporaries were making the migration out west to Los Angeles and later Seattle, Karl defied the trend and headed east. Following two years of experimenting with several bands, Karl found his way to BACKYARD STRUT and has continued to refine his performance and style. His strong "in the pocket" playing has helped to elevate BACKYARD STRUT'S sound and appeal to new heights.
