The liquor was starting to kick in and Sharon kept gazing longingly at AJ. Nick would notice but pretend not to. He kept telling himself that it was nothing. At first Sharon felt guilty but the more she drank, the less guilt she felt.
"Ok everyone," she was slurring heavily, "Time to get in the pool! I hope everyone remembered to bring their bathing suits. If not, we have extras." Everyone started to go out back where the pool was located. Sharon was about to follow but she felt someone grab her arm. It was AJ.
"I can't wait to see you in a bikini," AJ said as he smirked. Sharon was a little annoyed at this point.
"You're not gonna get shit from me, AJ. Not now, not ever."
"You're a tease. You stare at me all night and you never once tell your boyfriend that I've been flirting with you behind his back, but now you say you don't want me? Fuck you bitch!"
"This is MY fucking house, I KNOW you don't think you can come in here and disrespect me! I may be smaller than you but believe me I can still kick your sorry ass."
Before Sharon could follow through with her threat, Nick appeared.
"AJ, I'm asking you nicely to please leave my house before I do something I regret." Nick said.
"Nick, listen to me man. This girl is a huge mistake. She's been flirting with me all night and she was about to fuck me before you came along."
"Fuck you and get out of my house!" Nick screamed.
"She's a drunken whore and she's wasting all of your money! Open your eyes!" Nick ran up to AJ and practically jumped on him. They both crashed through the glass door leading to the patio and pool. Nick was punching AJ in the face and stomach, while a few guys tried to tear him away. Finally, Nick got up.
"Now, do I have to ask you one more time to leave my house or will I have to make you?" Nick asked AJ. AJ's face was covered with blood and he was badly hurt. Without another word he got up and left the party. Sharon ran upstairs to her and Nick's bedroom. Nick followed her up. Everyone else was left not knowing what to do, so they decided to swim some more. Nick found Sharon laying face down on their bed, sobbing. He went over to her.
"Honey, what's wrong? Please don't cry, AJ's gone and I won't ever let him in this house again after the things he said about you. I don't even know how I'm going to work with him."
"Nick...please don't. Your career comes before everything. I never told you that AJ had been paging and calling me. He came up here before the party trying to seduce me but I said no. I'm so sorry I never told you."
Sharon continued to sob. "You've done so much for me, without you I would have nothing and I'd be back home with my Mom. I just want to thank you for everything you've done for me and for putting up with me for so long."
Nick was so touched by her words. "I've always known you were a great person, all of my friends who don't like you can go to hell. I love you and I want us to always be together. So please don't ever feel as if you owe me anything, what's mine is yours." By now, Sharon had stopped crying and she was looking longingly into Nick's eyes. She felt like the luckiest girl in the world to have found such a great guy. She pulled him down on top of her and they began passionately kissing.
**************At the pool
"Do you guys think we should leave? Sharon and Nick have been up there for a while now. I think they're...you know...doin it." Howie said.
"You'd think after that scene Nick would have enough sense to dump her. Did you see the way she was looking at AJ all night? After all Nick's done for her," said Brian.
"Brian, stop talking shit about my friends! Sharon's a great girl, you just don't know her that well" Catey said.
"All of you just shut up and let's try and have a good time, this is supposed to be a party here!" Kevin roared. Practically everyone stopped what they were doing.
"Kevin, loosen up. I think you've been working too hard, cuz. Here, have a beer. Just relax, as you said, this IS a party." Brian said. Kevin took his suggestion and tried to remain stress free for the rest of the night. He HAD been working too hard.
"I have an idea." Howie said. "Who's up for some skinny dippin?" No one jumped at the idea.
"You know, for all we know we've been expected to leave. I mean there was a gory fight here just an hour ago and here we are still hangin out in the pool. Has anyone even bothered to call AJ and see how he's doing? The hosts of the party aren't even around anymore. Maybe we should just leave," said Kevin.
"Kevin, you are such a party pooper. Come on, there are tons of girls here. Let's have some fun!" Brian said. Everyone began stripping and jumping into the pool. Kevin was disgusted and left.
************Upstairs
Nick and Sharon lay in bed together after just making love.
"I wonder what's going on downstairs. Do you think we should check to see if there are still people here? Nick? Nick!"
"Huh? Oh sorry babe, I dozed off for a second there. It?s just so comfortable here in your arms," he said as he used her breast as a pillow.
"But Nick it's our house. What if they're trashing the place? Please just go and check, ok? I'll be here waiting."
Nick reluctantly put some clothes on and went to see what was going on. He reached the pool and definitely did not like what he saw. Beer bottles where everywhere and at least 20 people were swimming naked in his pool.
"What the hell is this???" he asked to no one in particular.
"Uh, hey Nick." Brian said. "We were just havin a little fun! You don't mind do you?" he asked cautiously.
"Do I MIND? There are drunk people having sex in my pool! Get out, everyone get out...but wait until I leave so I don't actually have to see you naked." Nick turned around and went back upstairs.
"What happened?" asked Sharon. She had heard some commotion coming from downstairs.
"Well, all of our lovely guests took it upon themselves to get extremely drunk and go skinny dipping in our pool. We're gonna have to get it drained, for God's sake. Some people these days are sick, I'm telling you."
"Oh Nick, forget about it. We'll call the pool people tomorrow and have them sterilize the entire thing, ok? Now let's gets some sleep, its almost 3 in the morning." Sharon said. Nick put his pajamas on and got into bed with his girlfriend.
