"Oh shit!" Kevin exclaimed.
"What's wrong cuz?" asked Brian.
"The car won't start. The battery must be dead," Kevin responded. Kevin got out of the car and went to lift the hood up. The battery was dead, because there seemed to be nothing else wrong. Kevin went back and sat in the car.
"Now what do we do, Kev?" asked AJ.
"I guess we'll go inside and ask if we can use their phone," Kevin said as he got out of the car. He walked up to the door and knocked on it. Sam answered the door.
"Oh, you're back again," she said after she opened the door.
"Actually, we never left," Kevin responded. "Our car won't start. Can we use your phone?"
"Yeah, sure." Sam opened the door more and moved aside.
"Thanks," Kevin said as he walked in the door.
"The phone's over here," Sam said as she guided him to the phone.
Kevin picked up the phone, but he heard nothing.
"There's no dial tone," Kevin said as he hung the phone back up.
"Really? The storm from last night must have knocked the phone lines out. It will take the phone company forever to get it fixed, 'cause we live way out here."
"Do you have a car?"
"No."
"Then how do you get out? Like to buy food and stuff."
"I thought you guys left," Kristin said as she walked into the foyer.
"Our car won't start," Kevin responded.
"Oh, I see."
"Well I guess we're stuck here then. I'll go out to the car and tell the other guys." Kevin walked out to the car.
"Well guys, we're stuck here. Their phone is dead and apparently they don't have a car," Kevin said as he sat in the car.
"Well that's just great. Well, I guess we should go inside then," Howie said as he opened the door and got out. The others got out as well, grabbed their bags, and they all walked up to the door with Kevin leading the way. He knocked on the door again. This time a different young woman answered it.
"Hello. You must be Kevin and I'm guessing these are your friends," said the woman as she opened the door more to let them in.
"Yeah, and who are you?" asked Kevin as they walked in the door.
"My name's Elizabeth, but you can call me Liz," she answered. Liz was about 5'8" with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. Her skin was tan. "Are you guys hungry? We're fixing lunch."
"It's lunch time already?" asked Nick. "I didn't know it was so late."
"Sure, we'd love some," said Brian with a smile.
They all walked into the kitchen. When they got there, Sam and Kris were at the stove cooking. There were two other young women just standing around talking.
"Hey guys," Sam said. Sam introduced her friends to the guys. One of the young woman was about 5'7", with shoulder length, curly, black hair and brown eyes. Her name was Nicole. The other young woman was about 5'6" with long, blonde hair and green eyes. Her name was Cortney, but the other girls called her Cort.
They all went into the dining room to have lunch.
