Brian was still holding Abby's hand, he seemed to not let go of it once. He watched her as she slept peacfully on the hospital bed. A piece of her blond hair fell into her face and Brian lightly brushed it away and caressed her cheek with his hand. She moaned softly and opened her eyes slowly. She turned to see Brian and smiled.
"Good morning sunshine." Brian smiled back at her.
"What time is it?" Abby asked. Her voice was a little strained from the breathing tube just being taken out.
"Two in the afternoon. It's good to sleep this late. You need your rest." Brian told her.
Just then the rest of the gang walked in. AJ had an arm full of flowers and Kevin was carrying balloons.
"What's this?" She smiled and asked.
AJ set the many flowers down on the nightstand next to her bed. "These are for you because we hope you get better really soon." He kissed her lightly on the cheek.
"Thank you." She hugged him.
"And these are also for you." Kevin tied the balloons to the bottom of her bed. There was about 15 balloons of all different colors each with "Get Well Soon Abby" on them. Nick and Sarah walked around the group and Sarah gave Abby a hug.
"I am so glad that you are ok." Sarah whispered into her best friend's ear. "I was afraid I was going to lose you for a minute."
"You can't get rid of me that easily." Abby joked.
"Well," Brian began. "We have everyone working on a new set up for our security. I promise nothing like this will ever happen again."
Abby touched his cheek. "You can't promise something like that. I don't blame anyone for this happening to me. Who would have known that innocent looking girl would have been carrying a gun?"
"But still.." Brian said. "I gotta protect the thing I cherish most in this world and that's you."
"AAWWEE!" The whole gang cooed.
Brian blushed. Just then a yound nurse with long, wavy, brown hair walked into the room.
"Looks like you got yourself a fan club here." The nurse smiled and picked up Abby's chart. She scanned it over and wrote something down. "It looks like you'll make a full recovery Abby."
"When can I leave?" Abby asked.
"You won't be able to leave the hospital for about four more days. The doctor wants to make sure everything is back to normal before he lets you out." The nurse explained.
Abby looked sadly at Brian. "You guys have a concert in LA tomorrow."
Brian shook his head. "I'm not going. I'm staying right here with you."
"You have to go. You can't disappoint all your fans by not showing up and you know it. Besides, you called my parents yesterday and they should get here today so it's not like I'll be alone." Abby told him.
"But I want to be here with you to make sure everything is alright." Brian protested.
"I'm going to be fine. The nurse just said I was going to make a full recovery." She gestured to the nurse in the white uniform that was still standing there. "Everything is going to work out fine." She his hand. "And then when I'm released from the hospital I'll meet you guys in....where will you be in for days?"
"We should be back in Orlando for some down time." Kevin remained them. At the mention of down time the guys started cheering.
"See..then I'll come down to Orlando and we can be together." Abby smiled. "Please go to the concert. Do it for me."
Brian kissed her forehead. "I don't like the idea and I don't want to but I'll go."
"Good."
"I'll let you get back to visiting with your friends now." The nurse walked out.
AJ turned his head and watched her walk out of the door.
"MAN!" He went for the door. "I'll be right back....exit stage left even." And he went out the door.
LATER THAT DAY.....
Sarah said goodbye to Abby and let Brian in there to say goodbye before they left for Los Angeles. Nick was waiting for her outside the room.
"Everything go ok?" He asked as he slipped one arm around Sarah's waste.
"I just wish she was coming with us. But I know it's for the better that she stay here and get all the rest she needs."
They walked out of the hospital and into the parking lost where the bus was waiting for them. Nick stopped and turned Sarah to face him.
"You know, this whole thing that happened with Abby just made me realize how scared I would have been if it was you that was shot. I was really scared for Abby too but to have the one person you lost most in the world between living and dying is a scary thing." Nick pulled Sarah close.
"Everything's going to be fine now." Sarah rubbed her hands up and down his back. "We're together...Brian and Abby are together..." She laughed. "AJ and that nurse are together."
Nick pulled away and looked at her. "What?"
She pointed over to the bus. "Look, AJ and that nurse that was in Abby's room earlier are in a major lip lock."
Nick laughed. "Looks like he got the right idea." He pulled Sarah to him and kissed her deeply. They slowly seperated.
"Ok stud muffin." Sarah laughed. "Let's get going."
Sarah hopped into the bus but Nick waited outside. AJ went to walk past him but Nick stopped him.
"Yo AJ man, don't leave me out on this. What's up with you and the nurse?" Nick smiled mischievously. "Have you been playing doctor?"
AJ laughed and shook his head slowly. "You're crazy do you know that?"
"Yeah but I like it." Nick laughed.
"She is so amazing." AJ smiled. "We have a bunch of stuff in common. After I left the hospital earlier today me and her went out and spent the whole day together. So I gave her my number and she gave me her's. I'm gonna call her when we get back to Orlando."
Howie and Kevin hung themselves half way out the window. "So AJ what's up with the nurse?"
AJ laughed. "What? Was everyone watching me?"
Just then Brian walked by. "Man bone, I saw you in that lip lock with that nurse."
"AAAHHHH" AJ screamed and got into the bus.
