Brian hopped out of his car and Abby followed him. They went to the trunk of the car and took out Abby's suitcases. Brian put down the ones he had in his hands and put his arms around Abby's waist. She brought her arms up around the back of his neck and smiled up at him.
"I can't believe that I was going to let you walk out of my life." He brought his lips to hers and kissed her softly. "You're the best thing that ever happened to me."
"Well, I guess we're even because you're the best thing that ever happened to me." Abby was so happy that things were slowly going back to normal between her and Brian. She couldn't even describe the feeling that she had when she first saw him at her apartment. "Brian, I promise you that nothing will ever happen like that again. I didn't want it to happen."
"SSSHH.." He put his index finger to her lips. "Didn't I tell you that we should put it behind us now. I understand what happened and that's all that matters. You don't need to explain anymore to me. I know that you love me and that's what counts Abby."
"I just want to make sure you understand that I'll never hurt you like that again." Abby whispered to him.
He pulled her against him and hugged her close. "I Love You..the soon to be Mrs. Brian Littrell."
Abby smiled. She couldn't wait for the day that that would finally be her name. She couldn't wait to start her life with Brian, but it had already begun when she thought of it. This would just show their undying love for each other and that was all Abby wanted was for Brian to know that she would always love him and never hurt him again.
Brian pulled away slightly. "I need to put your bags in our room and go talk to Nick." Brian shook his head. "I wasn't very nice to him and I sure wasn't acting like a best friend."
"Do you need me to come with you?" Abby asked him.
Brian picked up her suitcases. "No, I need to do this alone. But thanks." He pecked her on the cheek. "Come on, let's get you unpacked."
NICK'S HOUSE.....
Nick was sitting in the living room flipping threw the channels on the TV.
"Nothing's on." He groaned to himself. He hit the power button and the TV screen went black. He threw the remote on the couch next to him and let out a big sigh. All morning he was trying to call Sarah but when she heard it was him she would hang up the phone and now she had stopped even picking it up.
"I don't understand why she can't hear what I have to say. If she loves me as much as she says she does then she would listen and let me explain to her that I never wanted this to happen and it was a big mistake." It had been quiet in Nick's house the last couple of days because Aaron had started his own small tour that was just in Florida. Nick was going to go cheer on his younger brother but he wasn't in the mood for it. He heard the doorbell ring and went to open the door.
When he opened it Brian was standing there.
"Man, I didn't do anything else so if you're here to bitch at me I don't know it right now." Nick told him standing in the doorway.
Brian shook his head. "I'm not here to bitch at you. I need to talk to you."
Nick moved and let Brian into the house. They went out into the kitchen and Nick sat down at the table. Brian leaned casually against the counter.
"First of all I want to tell you that I'm sorry for the way I acted and for the things I said to you." Brian began.
Nick looked at him in shock. "What? Where is this coming from?"
Brian put up his hand. "Let me finish. I realize now that what happened between you and Abby was just a mistake and you weren't secretly after her or anything like that. I know I was a jerk to you that night up at Angel's Cove but I was hurt and angry. And I didn't mean it when I said that you aren't my best friend because you are."
"Does this mean you aren't angry with me anymore?" Nick asked hopefully. He didn't want to lose his best friend.
"I'm not angry with you anymore Nick. So what do you say? Best friends?" Brian asked.
Nick walked over and hugged him. "Yeah man best friends." He leaned against the counter next to Brian. "So what are you going to do about Abby? She left didn't she?"
Brian went to the frig and took out a bottle of bottled spring water and untwisted the plastic top. "She left but I went after her."
"Good thinking."
"I got to the airport and I would have caught up to her if I wasn't mobbed by fans. So, I got on the next flight to PA and I was at her apartment before she even got home." Brian took a sip of water.
Nick smiled. "I bet she was surprised to see you."
Brian nodded his head. "Oh she was. Right there I asked her to marry me."
Nick got excited. "You asked her to marry you B-ROK?!?!?!? What did she say?"
"She said yes." Brian replied with excitement in his voice.
Nick shook his hand. "Congratulations man."
"What do you say we go and play nintendo for awhile." Brian put down his water. "I haven't kicked your butt in like a week."
Nick laughed. "You'll never defeat the champion."
And they went running for the nintendo controllers.
AJ'S HOUSE....
It was the afternoon and Laura rolled over in bed next to AJ. His back was to her and she placed her palm against his bare skin and sighed. Her thoughts in her head were just running in fifty thousand directions. Ever since they had told each other that they wanted to be more than just friends it was like they were always making love and nothing else. Even with Sarah staying down the hallway now they were still doing it. Laura knew she loved AJ but did she really love him for more than just physical reasoning? The Backstreet Boys world tour would start soon and she was wondering if AJ was going to ask her to go with him. She was starting to think it wasn't such a good idea for her to go. While he was gone he shouldn't feel the need to stay with her. She just wanted the best for him. Laura rolled back over and her back was to him.
"I knew I shouldn't have let me and AJ get like this. Now if I tell him that I want to go back to being just friends it might changed things now that we've been like this with each other. What if that's all we want to do when we're together. What will we be..friends with priviledges??" She thought to herself. "I don't want me and AJ's relationship to be based on this and this only. A relationship needs love. But I do love him!" She agrued with herself. "Maybe when he goes on tour I can use this time to think about what is really good for us."
She felt AJ move next to her and get up out of bed. She watched and he walked into the bathroom with nothing on. She smiled to herself. "He does look damn fine though." She thought to herself.
He walked back out of the bathroom and looked at her. "What are you looking at?" AJ asked as he stood there with nothing on but a smile.
Laura blushed. "Nothing."
AJ walked back over to the bed and climbed in next to her back under the covers. "You like it and you know it."
Laura turned on her side to face him. "Oh is that right Mr. McLean?"
"Yeah that's right." He teased her lips with his.
Laura closed her eyes and put her hand on his chest.
"I love you Laura." AJ said in a husky voice as his lips trailed kisses down her neck.
"I love you too." Laura rolled on top of him and kissed his chest.
"MMM baby."
Laura stopped kissing him. "You know what I want AJ?"
He looked at her. "What?"
"Breakfast!" She rolled off of him and put on her clothes from the night before. She took him by his hands and pulled him out of bed. "Come on."
"Sure get my hopes up." He laughed. He quickly got dressed and followed Laura downstairs.
