Features
Wudup to all the people frequenting
my DJX page. I just gotta say wudup! I'm going to do a major
expansion on this site soon.
What is a "DJX"? It's
my synthesizer (electronic keyboard). It's not a normal home keyboard
but a trendy semi-professional piece of gold. It only costs $299
but has a lot of important features, like arpeggiator, DSP, cutoff/resonance,
et cetera; features you would expect to find on more pricey keyboards.
It lets you craft the sound the way you want it. Plus, it is a keyboard
for techno, dance, and hip-hop/rap; not for country/western, etc. (a.k.a.
music you don't like).
I have a choice from a whopping
283 voices. 128 of them are the standard General MIDI voices.
About 140 or something are special DJX/Yamaha voices. The rest are
drum kits and special EFX. The voices include a wide selection of
pads and leads, resonance and analog bass, human voices, funky pianos,
and more. It also has 100 patterns with a wide selection of techno,
dance, rap/hip hop, and the stuff that's in between them all.
Anyway, it has a lot more.
It has a ton of special effects. Some of these include modulation,
pitch bend, auto-wah, phaser, and various delays. For a complete
list, click here.
What makes this keyboard really
popular is the cool analog controls on it like the assignable ribbon controller
and knobs. It is extremely aesthetically and modishly pleasing because
of the blend of decades of analog electro-music tradition with the the
futuristic look of tomorrow. It also is a star because of loved funky
beats it puts out. The DJX is truly the ultimate dance keyboard;
well under $300, at least.
