Threshold
Back of the stars lies a world
less seen
Beyond the realms of a bright angel's dream
Blue cold the rage of the spaces within
Brittle my prison might seem...
A walk through these shadowed
halls for me
A moment watching stars sink into the sea
A heartbeat for you who dwell without
An eternity passes for me
One mournful cry
One voice keening
Calls me from dreaming
To the threshold of freedom.
To find my way out from this
hell-crafted maze
To return to the flesh world if only for days
To give back the ferryman's gold for a while
To be with my goddess again
These things so fragile have kept
my heart beating
The stars burned and died, light and dark meeting
They fell on the tracks of one bloody tear
That set the ice prison retreating
One song of love
One hand extended
Reaches for me in the depths of hell
To draw me across the threshold
