I Wakko: What's wrong? Wakko make you unhappy?
I DaIIas I: Naw, jes' nervous.
I Wakko: Why nervous?
I DaIIas I: Cause yer too cute. :::smiles:::
I Wakko: ::smiles and gigglies:: Why that make you nervous, cowboy?
I DaIIas I: :::shakes his head::: It jes' does. Long story, an' not one

I Wakko: ::rests her head on his shoulder:: Tell me story cowboy? Wakko
likes stories!
I DaIIas I: Ah warned ya...it's a long story.
I Wakko: Wakko likes long stories.
I DaIIas I: :::stretches his wings out and leans back, takes a pack of
Marlboros from his pocket; shakes a cigarette from the pack and lights it, then returns
the pack to his pocket, thinking on where to begin::::
I Wakko: :::green eyes watch his every move as she sits back with him,
curling up into his lap::
I DaIIas I: A long time ago, there was a demon, an' he lived in a big
ol' city named Nawlin's...
I DaIIas I: An' one day, he got lost...mebbe he got shot, mebbe he got
beat up...anaway, it don' matter much how he got lost...jes' that he did...
I Wakko: ::smiles up at him and reaches into her pocket. pulls out some lint, a ball, and
a couple pieces of candy. takes the candy and opens the wrapper popping it in her mouth
then shoves the rest of the things back into the pocket:: Lost?
I Wakko: Wakko no likes gettin lost.
I DaIIas I: Well, he weren't real fond o' bein' lost at first neither.
I DaIIas I: Anaways he ended up in Rhydin. He made a few friends, an
then one o' them friends up and got hisself kilt, and lef' that demon a run-down nowhere
little bar called the Bloody Rose...
I Wakko: ::bats her lashes and listens quietly::
I DaIIas I: So, he done the best he could with that bar, it bein' most
all he had left o' the one person that was a honest an' true friend to him. An' things was
okay. He got along.
I Wakko: ::smiles and chews on the candy:: YaY
I Wakko: Tell more!
I DaIIas I: Well, one night a right purty young lady come a-strollin' in
like she owned the place....an' she took a look at that demon, an' decided she owned him
too.
I DaIIas I: :::chuckles softly::: Truth t' tell, that waran't far from
the truth anaways, since he kinda fell fer her in a hurry.
I Wakko: :::smiles again::: Aww. Nice story.
I Wakko: More!
I Wakko: ::gigglies:: What she look like?
I DaIIas I: Well, she was a bit bigger'n you, an' dark haired. Purty
thang...
I Wakko: ::her jaw moving slowly as she chews listening to his story::
I DaIIas I: Anaways, that lady done up and challenged that demon to a
slave match...and what do ya know...she won. So thar he was, waitin' on this lady hand and
foot...
I Wakko: ::gigglies:: Funny!
I DaIIas I: an' all the time, he was tryin' t'tell hisself it would be
way differnt when he got free again.
I DaIIas I: But it weren't no differnt. He loved her an he woulda laid
down his life for her.
I Wakko: Did he get free, cowboy?
I DaIIas I: Ayup, in a manner o' speakin' he did.
I Wakko: What happened then? ::stares up at him::
I DaIIas I: As it turns out, he did lay down his life for her. There was
others what wasn't too happy with this demon, an' they threatened to hurt his lady, bad,
if'n he didn' do jes' as they said, an' so he did...
I Wakko: ::takes a sharp breath:: Bad peoples!
I DaIIas I: He left that bar, and that girl b'hind, an' he went off with
them others, so's they wouldn' do no more to her than they already had...they'd done been
tellin' her lies bout him as 'twas...an he was gone a long, long, time. But he never
forgot that lady...
I Wakko: Tell me more! Did he come back?
I DaIIas I: An he spent a long time in chains, an the only thing that
kep that demon alive a'tall was the memory o' that lady, and the hope that one day, he'd
come back an' she'd still love him, an' it would all be okay...
I Wakko: ::sticks out her lower lip:: Those people are mean!
I DaIIas I: Ayup. He got hisself free o' them evil ones, an' he came
back with jes' his memory of her to guide him...
I Wakko: Did he find her?
I DaIIas I: an' when he got back thar was dust all over the bar, an'
there waran't much left that he knew. An' he sat down at a table in that bar, an' he
cried.
I Wakko: ::shakes her head:: No good.
I DaIIas I: An' what d'ya know, there she come waltzin' right through
that door....an she stared, cause she thought he done left her, or died or somethin'...
I Wakko: ::eyes widen again:: She found him!
I DaIIas I: An' he stared, and then they run an hugged an kissed, an
they talked...
I DaIIas I: an they still loved each other after all that time, an' all
that hurt, an' all them lies...
I Wakko: ::gigglies:: YaY
I DaIIas I: An' that lady helps him run his bar, an' she's the light o'
his life, and he'd never ever do nothin' t' hurt her again.
I Wakko: ::smiles:: That's a good story!
I DaIIas I: Ayup. It is now. It waren't then, though. An' that's why
ladies what's too cute settin' in mah lap makes me nervous.
I Wakko: ::bats her lashes at him:: Demon was you?! ::hops up::Wakko no
make lady mad or Demon nervous.
I DaIIas I: :::smiles:::Ayup. That demon was me.
I Wakko: ::reaches into her pocket again and takes another piece of
candy and pops it into her mouth:: Wakko sorry cowboy. Me no make you nervous no more.
I DaIIas I: :::soft laugh::: Ah don' think ya did it intentional like,
so thar's no harm done. But ah jes' won' do nuthin' that'll upset my ladylove. Jes so ya
know.
I Wakko: ::takes her hat off and waves it at him:: Thank you cowboy!
I DaIIas I: Yer welcome. Good luck to ya...
I DaIIas I: :::tips his hat to her:::
I Wakko: ::boingy's off::
