May 25, 1998 - The Mechcommander site was updated May 22. There are new data files and pictures for every mech, as well as a map of the demo missions. A challenge by Mitch Gitelman (FI) is also included in Part 4 of the designers notes.
May 20, 1998 - If you haven't played the demo yet, you are missing the best game of 98. If you don't want to download it, look for the demo CD (only $1 or $2) in software retailers around the country. You can also pick it up in some of the computer gaming magazines in the June issues (I'm pretty sure). Be sure to check out my Mechcommander review below.
May 12, 1998 - Yippee! The Mechcommander demo has been released for downloading! It's a pretty hefty zip file at 116 megs, but if you are a true BattleTech fan, you won't hesitate to jump on this offer. Download it here - Mechcommander Demo. The official download page is Here.
May 6, 1998 - From now on, This I will be posting the latest Mechcommander news. The release date for the full game is set for June 24, 1998. The demo will be in the July issue of Computer Gaming World. The demo will feature two special missions that will not be in the final release.
