The debut of the Final Fantasy series on PSX was a good one for Square; Final Fantasy VII is the number one selling game of all time. And for many good reasons (the translation NOT being one of them). Like Final Fantasy IV and its debut on the SNES, FF7 attracted many new gamers for the first time. With its stunning improvements in graphics and audio, the Playstation allowed Square to finally start flexing their imagination. Aside from the new assortment of eye candy, FF7 presents the best of RPG's in the Final Fantasy series. Although not the best storyline (that would have to be Xenogears), FF7 was, and still is, an enjoyment to play.
