Welcome to my site

I got a new computer! That's good right? Not necessarily. Watch for a column about it, coming soon.

Well, I finally have my new PC ... a MicronPC Pentium III 933 Mhz with CD-ROM, CD R/W and a few other goodies. I also have a cable modem so I can go vrooom on the Internet .... I'll be writing a column about this experience (it wasn't pleasant) so check back for that.

I've cleaned up the site a bit, but not really a lot has changed. I have added pages for family news, work news, and climbing news. But it's all stuff that's been on here for a while. Now that I have my PC and a slick connection to the Net I can keep it better updated.

About the most exciting thing that's happened to me besides the new PC is I hurt myself at a Jane's Addiction concert in Boise in November. Yes, yours truly was down there in the mosh pit gettin' on a groove with all the peeps when I did something stupid. I jumped in the air and just then, the crowd swelled away from me in every direction. When I came down, there was beer on the plastic-covered floor and my feet went right out from under me. With nobody around to grab onto -- and it all happening so quickly -- I fell flat on my back. Five days later I was in St. Luke's ER getting meds for whiplash. Good thing Kevin was there ... he calmed me down and cheered me up. I thought I had broken my neck and didn't know it. Anyway, my free ticket to see Jane's ended up costing me $252 (insurance kicked in a wonderful $8). I'd almost say it was worth it, but ....

John is moving out in January. So, I'm looking for a new roomie or two. If you want to move in, e-mail or call me. Yes, you have to pay rent.

Be sure to post a "hello" on the new message board. Or, drop a line to my e-mail ([email protected]).
