  • In Southeast D.C., the average income is 34% less than the national average. 
  • In the U.S., there are about 33.4 million renter households that are eligible for housing assistance. 
  • Potomac Gardens, a D.C. neighborhood, implemented defensible space (simply installing 8-foot perimeter fencing), and the number of drug-related arrests dropped from 150 to 7.
