| Since I am of Asian DESCENT I try to look out for others but there are other social issues that are important. From time to time you will see new things on Asian American social issues that may impact you.
In the past, I've focused on the Anti-Nike Labor disputes, the Syracuse, NY Denny's beating of Minority Students (most of the students were AsAm), sweatshops and Anti-Asian political sentiments. I will post up an archive section in case you're doing research.
I want to focus now on the aparent racism in dealing with the case of Wen Ho Lee - the Los Alamos scientist accused of espionage mainly because he is of Chinese ancestry and the xenophobia within the civil service that goes thrives unjustly and will ultimately effect you regardless of YOUR racial origins. |
