Yeah, okay, so I'm supposed to write a bio here. Insted of doing that, I think I will make a few lists of things.

Things you would probably not know if you were to meet me on the street:
  • I was born on October 2, 1980 in D.C.
  • I have a freckle right next to my right eye that doesn't resemble a pinapple at all.
  • My cat's name is Ginger. My other cat's name is Rocky. They like to sleep.
  • .02% of the population of Albania is allergic to me.
Stuff that is on my bookshelf:
  • "Leaves of Grass"-Walt Whitman.
  • Schnazzy photo album.
  • Stack of Oingo Boingo tapes.
My birthday was not an especially momentous day by all accounts, except for the fact that a baby named Amelia Yvonne entered the world at George Washington Hospital, the very first daughter of two proud parents. I grew up, as all children must do, treasuring only two things, books, and my vision of the world around me. I spent my days with my Zayde and Mother, visiting industrial plants in a pram while my mother ran her own business. Then, at age 5, inspired by Sesame Street, I began violin studies with Suzuki....painful squeaks. Soon, however, I entered the institutionalized drudgerry of school, first ina anameless pre-school, but then at Garret Park Elementary. My best friends at the time were somewhat bent--one made me clean her room all the time and the other just liked to beat up on people... but what can you do. I walked to school and walked home, and in between colored the sky green, failed to create perfect loops on all of my 'l's and discovered the rare joy of holding a live frog in your hand. In third grade I was lucky enough to have a wonderful teacher, Mr. Millner, who despite protestations by all of my former teachers and my parents, found out that I was actually smart. Hully gee!!! So off trundeled the pint-sized giant to Bells Mill Elementary, a hour's bus ride away. Fortunately, this is where I met my true love...THE EUPHONIUM. I began playing this marevolus instrument, became a patrol, yadda yadda yadda. On to 6th garde! or, translated into my language "Welcome to Hell!!!" For the first time, I was in school with my best friend Becky, but that was offset by the fact that I got beat up pretty much every day. This continued on into 7th grade....then, the day before I would start 8th grade at Tilden I got a call that I had been accepted into the Magnet at Eastern! "Yea verily, here is a pass into smart-people land." said unto me a heavenly voice. At Eastern I met Amy (a very spiffy person), Lana (another very spiffy person), BER NER BER Mike (yet another very spiffy person), Sara (you get the idea.....). At some point, I took the tests for admission to Blair &/or RM and by some mystical process, possibly involving divination with a reptile, I ended up at RM. I think that I have managed pretty well, all things considered--if you really want to know what I did at RM, check my resume under articles. Well, god only knows where I will be going to college next year, but if you feel like it, you can cross your fingers for me that I get into Rice. Doubtless this was one of the most boring things you have ever wasted your time reading, but I'll close with the fact that I have two cats, Ginger and Rocky (both 3 1/2 yrs) and a brother Eli (14) and a sister Sophia (9). This is a really cruddy bio, but what can I say, I tried!
