"Hearts Desire"

In the shadow of the valleys
where the mountains danced...
I met a man so old.
We traced a path of darkness
of ancient moss and mold...

We climbed up to a mountain top.
He spoke my hearts desire.
All in exchange for one small soul
sealed in blood and fire...

I wish I'd never seen his face
his ancient fire so cold...
To see him now is frightening
I've never felt so old...

In anguish wishing to be free
I didn't know the soul he sought
was yours
and not from me...

The devil never ever deals for what is rightly yours...
Forever cloaked in shadow...
He seeks that tortured soul...
To bewilder and make promises of desires still untold...

So now I walk his darkness
I can hear the demon choir
But there will always be more fools
who seek their hearts desire

and when that person seeks me out
then I will play the liar
to deceive him and possess his soul
to release me from this fire...

So seek the valley where the mountains dance
but beware the path you tread...
You just might get your hearts desire
but wish that you were dead...
