Akagi Ritsuko
Akagi Ritsuko, is the brilliant head scientist at NERV. She takes care of the
MAGI supercomputers (Melchior, Balthasar, and Gasper (Casper in the anime)).
She is also the head of the 'E-project'. Longtime friend of Katsuragi Misato,
and Ryouji Kaji, I think she feels bad about not being able to tell NERV's
secrets to her best friend, Misato.
Ritsuko's mother, Naoko, created the MAGI supercomputers. The day before she
killed herself, she told Ritsuko that the three computers represented herself
as a scientist, herself as a mother, and herself as a woman.
