| In 1999, Indonesia was confused in the riots of all the people. The locals wanted Megawati to be president and would do anything to have the president be Megawati. The rioting caused deaths and burning of buildings. It caused so much trouble that there were military guards on the streets of Jakarta (the capitol) all day and everyday. Also with the rioting came the destruction of the economy and the raping and killing of the Chinese. |
