This talks about my music, the things I listen to, and one day hope to compose...that one day will be in a long while...but I am patient...
Here is a collection of stories, quotes, poetry that I've gathered through the years. There are also some of them which I've written, including songs I've translated from Chinese to English.
This page is dedicated to my other interests, such as volleyball and also video games.
Well, one of the biggest disappointments with living in Japan is the ability to watch American movies. Most movies come to Japan about 4 months later, and that's not the worst part. Movies tend to cost 1600Y to 2000Y, about $13-$17. Seats are on a first come first serve basis, and theaters usually sell more tickets than seats so if you don't go early, you may have to stand up. For example, I went to watch Titanic, the 1:30pm showing. Was in line by noon waiting to get into the theater. Granted we were the first ones in line, but the line grew to be pretty long by 12:30pm. However, I believe that the movie was worth the price and the wait. Titanic is a very good movie, and the 3:15 hours passed by very quickly. Hard to imagine. You should definitely go watch it. It's on my recommendation list.
My all time favorite movies (in no particular order): These are the movies that I am willing to watch more than once or twice, and even buy the tape. I am sure Dead Poet's Society would be on my list if I've seen it. One of these days I will.
