Lower Flower Garden
This part of the garden is the reason we bought our house in the first place. On to it looks the conservatory/garden room and, therefore , is a joy to see all year round. It is planted mostly with perennials. Cut into a circular lawn area with a crescent shaped path and side borders and an island bed we have recently added a new patio to the back of the conservatory. |

This is the new patio that was constructed this year on an area of ground where an outdoor shed had stood for more than thirty years. It is slightly raised and split into two definite areas. The area nearest to the conservatory gets little direct sunlight and is ideal for sitting in the shade on a hot day. The area visible on the photograph is in sun most of the day but is especially nice on summer mornings when the table and chairs have dappled light on them until nearly midday. |
