The Executive Board, comprised of Drenica
Spears, Tanya Callaway, Elena Temple, Gregory Lee, and Troye Macarthy
was established during the first year of the Network’s inception.
As the governing body, our responsibilities
consist of coordinating and implementing activities established
by the Network. We have established the Articles of Incorporation
and currently documenting bylaws and standard operating procedures
for the Network. We would like to present the
Executive Board Members:
Drenica Spears
A native of New Orleans, LA. She’s
a graduate of McDonogh #35 H.S. and Howard University (Information
Systems) . She’s currently pursuing her graduate studies at
University of Maryland in Technology Management. Drenica is an Information
Technology professional specializing in remote computing and network
infrastructures.
Gregory Lee is a native of New Orleans. He’s a graduate of
Sarah T. Reed H.S. and Xavier University.
Greg Lee
The Assistant Sports Page Editor for
the Washington Post and an Adjunct Professor at University of Maryland.
Greg is also a featured member is this edition.
Elena Temple is a native of New Orleans, LA. She’s a graduate
of Xavier Prep H.S., Spelman College, and pursued graduate studies
at the University of Maryland. Elena is the former Press Secretary
for Congressman Albert Wynn (D-MD) and has worked in public relations
for the Mayor of DC and the President of the DC School Board. Elena
is a Public Relations Specialist and Political Strategist.
Tanya Callaway
A native of Louisiana having resided
in several towns of our great state. She’s a graduate of Tuskeegee
University (Electrical Engineering) and continued her graduate studies
in Electrical Engineering and Law at Louisiana State University.
Tanya is a telecommunications professional, President and CEO of

Troye Macarthy
A native of Lake Charles, LA. She’s
a graduate of Lagrande H.S. and Hampton University . She continued
her graduate studies at George Mason University (Public Administration
) and is currently a doctoral candidate at Howard University for
Political Science. Troye is the Chief of Staff for D.C. Office of
Property Management.
