BUNDABERG BEATS LIONS

A Bundaberg Invitational team dealt the English Schoolboys' Rugby League Junior Lions the first defeat of their six-match tour of South-East Queensland, at Bundaberg Brothers on Thursay night, 22 July.

A large crowd greeted the visitors for their second-last match, and watched them go down 12-8 to the local selection.

For Bundaberg, Stephen Irwin and Cameron Boaza each scored a try, and Irwin kicked two goals.

The Junior Lions conclude their six-match tour of South-East Queensland on Sunday at Redcliffe in Brisbane, when they take on a Greater Metropolitan Schoolboys' side. Kicking off at 1.30pm, the game will be the curtain-raiser to the Redcliffe-Wests State League match at Dolphin Oval.
