Glossary

As the story progresses, I'll put down a glossary of terms, so people can follow any terms that they don't quite understand.

Some of the terms used in the story so far:

Corps: Corps are the name of the organization that oversee cops, bounty hunters and trackers.

Trackers: Trackers are non human hunters, that are assigned to do whatever Corps tells them to do.
There are many level trackers. A Level 3 tracker, for example is higher than a Level 12.

..... .....

I'll have to credit http://www.rajahwwf.com for these wrestling terms:

Angle: A term used to describe a wrestling storyline. Usually angles are motiviations for why a match happens or why a certain character acts a particular way

Babyface: A person who is a super good guy. Cleancut, "whitebread" type. "Leave it to Beaver on stereoids". ^.-

Blade: The use of cutting oneself during a match usually with a small razorblade. This is to make it appear that his/her opponent has caused physical damage.

Booker: The person(s) who decide the outcome of a match. *Note in my fiction, the bookers are an old ideal long abandoned in the WWF.*  There are assistants, but no one is considered a booker anymore.*

Bump: When a wrestler takes a fall, or what is more serious damage instead of regular wrestling moves.

Dark Match: Matches that are not on camera. These usually air before a show.

Face: The good guy wrestler. The one the crowd cheers for in most cases.

Grudge: Usually a return match that is from an ongoing fued

Gimmick: What the wrestler's character is.

Fued: An ongoing fight between wrestlers, via individuals or tag teams, stables, etc.

Heat: A large crowd response for a particular wrestler.

Heel: The bad guy wrestler. The crowd is supposed to boo for this guy.

House Show: Shows that are not on TV. *Note: in this fiction, house shows have been ruled out, because instead of on the road schedules, most of the matches are held in one arena.*

Job: To lose the match.

Jobber: A wrestler's whose basic career is to lose.

Juice: 3 Terms, 1. Blood, 2. Stereoids 3. Certain drugs, stronger than stereoids (for the fanfic)

Kayfabe: To be in a wrestling persona, gimmick

Mark: People who are accepting the gimmick. Or target audience.

Over: To be accepted by the fans. Gimmick or otherwise

Pop: About the same as heat, except it's the gauge. Not all pops are as big as heat

Push: To be on a winning streak or when a wrestler is put into mainstream spotlight, and TV time.

Screw Job: A non clean ending. Be it run-in, Disqualification, etc.

Shoot: When a something real happenes off script.

Shoot Interview: When a wrestler gives an interview out of character.

Spots: Great highlights or best action in the ring.

Stable: When a individual wrestlers band together and form a group. Example, Degeneration X.

Tweener: A wrestler whose character is neither a good or bad guy.

Work: Planned or scripted events.
