I’m
a former casting director (“Mystic Pizza” with The Casting Company, “Grace Under
Fire” with Liberman/Hirschfeld, “The Insider” with Bonnie Timmermann) and talent
agent (It Models, Ellis Talent Group) with 12 years experience in the entertainment
industry. I’ve been shooting headshots
professionally for 8 years, 6 in Los Angeles and 2 in New York. |

I
will work with you to achieve your goals – commercial or theatrical, press photo
or personal portrait, traditional or edgy, head and shoulders or 3/4 shot, beauty
or character, black and white or color. |

A
headshot is a calling card that will propel you to the next step, whether
that’s signing with an agent, getting an audition, booking a gig or booking
a shoot. I’ve seen thousands of headshots come
across my desk and I know what a casting director or agent is looking
for. It’s the expression in your eyes that
will capture their attention along with comfortable body language, an
interesting look and appropriate dress for your image. Only you can control the expression but
I can compose your look and image.
I shoot in natural light, on location in New York City. Natural light is more flattering than
studio light but retains your natural beauty. The worst thing you can do is use a headshot
that doesn’t look like you. I’ve
heard casting directors complain countless times of an actor walking through
the door and not matching their headshot. Casting directors rely on headshots to
call in actors they don’t know and rely on current headshots to
call in seasoned professionals.
