OVERALL SUMMARY
Touch and Go is about two girls, both aged 18, who join Team Rocket and more or less revolutionize it. (I'm a huge Utena fan, what can I say. ^^) These girls, Faris Greyweirs and Starr Evans, are paired together, and then paired again with the Team Rocket members we all know and love (or maybe just know... or maybe not even that...), Jessie and James. Their first mission is a complete success, and because of that the four stay together. Now, because of their success, the Boss has sent them all out on a dangerous and risky mission, and only Faris knows what it really is—making it all the more dangerous, since she's to carry it out by herself...
Episode I ~That's Right, Eternally~
We start off with Faris catching her 100th Pokémon, a Clefairy. Once she accomplishes this, she receives a call from the Boss informing her that she's got a new partner (Starr). She teleports with her Kadabra, Batts, back to the Team Rocket base, which is located in the Viridian City Gym (in TaG, anyway). There, we go to Starr, who has a brief encounter with Jessie and the others before receiving a call from the Boss and meeting Faris, who introduces herself as Sami Hill (her Rocket alias). Thinking "Sami" is a boy, she gets a mild crush on her, and from hereon in the episode Faris is occasionally referred to as a boy. They are paired up with Jessie and James, and the four of them head to Topaz City to raid a Pokémon Convention. Starr and Faris run into Pikachu at the local mall and take her to lunch, causing some trouble with Ash and the others. Ash gets Pikachu back, and Jessie and James end up severely beaten by Faris. After this, Jessie, James, Starr, and Faris all head to the Pokémon convention, with J&J heading in through the front and S&F heading in through the back. While J&J distract the crowd, S&F steal all their Pokémon, except for Ash's, Misty's, and Brock's. Ash challenges Faris, and she accepts. The battle ends with everyone finding out Sami is really a girl, and that is where the references to her being a boy stop. Sami, who is now referred to as Faris, and the others get away with all the Pokémon, and Ash learns his lesson for challenging Faris Greyweirs (though he currently only knows her as Sami Hill). There is one more scene with Team Rocket on the helicopter, which wraps up the entire episode.
Episode II ~You Don't Understand Anything~
This was originally supposed to be two separate episodes,
but both sections were so short they were combined into one episode. The
first part of the episode deals with Starr's attempts to capture Pikachu,
as ordered by the Boss. Jessie's not too thrilled about this when she finds
out and calls Starr a "goody-goody novice" because of it. Starr's not too
happy with that, and decides to set her straight by capturing Pikachu.
She does so temporarily, but then feels guilty when she thinks of the time
Raichu had been stolen for a time, so she gives Pikachu back to Ash. After
this entire escapade, we deal a bit with James' attempts to woo Faris.
^_^;
The second part deals with Faris and James. She
repeatedly turns him down, kicking him down the hall to make her point
clear. However, he keeps trying, and this makes her most impatient with
him. He finally starts to back away when she tells him she simply doesn't
want to fall in love; after that, she heads to Rio's Battle Arena to fight
and cool off her temper. James goes to challenge her, in hopes of getting
a date with her if he wins, but it's a risky fight; if he loses, he can't
bother Faris again. The battle is James' Weezing against Faris' Clefairy,
and Faris makes a quick win. James has lost the bet, but after Faris sees
him crying in the hall over it, she feels sorry for him and apologizes.
She explains why she doesn't want to fall in love, and tries to compensate
by saying she doesn't mind being friends. The episode ends with the Boss
sending the four of them on a new mission, to capture Pokémon on
Cinnabar Island.
Episode III ~All Right! To Pallet, Let's Go!!~
An entirely pointless episode, but fun to read because it's so lighthearted. Ash and the others are searching for Cinnabar, but end up at Pallet instead. However, since Ash's mom is away on vacation, they have nowhere to sleep. Faris and the others come to the rescue, as they're stopping at Pallet before heading to Cinnabar. Faris offers to take them with them, much to the displeasure of J&J, and they accept. Faris and Starr visit their friends living in Pallet, which makes for some VERY humorous scenes. This is probably the shortest chapter yet, but it's a great read if you're feeling down. ^_^
Episode VI ~Now, Quickly Let's Run Away~
This one's a real roller coaster ride. I won't give out any big details, but this chapter deals with the love conflict that's been building up 'til now—and no, it isn't resolved. (Like something like that could be resolved in one chapter?) In fact, it's made even more complicated. Muahaha and all of that. This is a mostly serious episode, with some lightheartedness at the beginning and kawaiiness at the end.
Episode V ~Tatoe
Futari Hanarebanari ni Natte mo...~
(Even If the Two of Us Are Ever Torn Apart...)
Everyone arrives at Cinnabar Island, and we meet Faris' mother, Martina Greyweirs, for the first time. We also run into an extra surprise which results in a Pokémon duel! ^_~
Episode VI ~...Watashi
wa Sekai wo Kaeru~
(...I Swear I Will Change the World)
The results of the duel have left Faris in a moody quiet. To get her mind off of it, she sets out what she had come to Cinnabar to do.
Episode VII ~Born With Every Miracle~
~ Arayuru Kiseki ni Umare ~
Faris, Ash, and the others head to Fuschia, and from there to Pallet and Viridian. However, the boat they're on is caught in a violent storm and becomes capsized. All of them end up at the Seafoam Islands, where they're separated into groups: Ash and Starr, Jessie and Brock, all the main Pokémon (Batts, Pikachu, Meowth, Raichu, Togepi), and James and Misty. Huh? Wait a minute! Isn't there someone missing?
Episode VIII ~To the Faraway Ancient Me~
~ Haruka Mukashi no Watashi he ~
Wandering the island, the multiple groups eventually join together - and come face to face with a very disturbing revelation. James is by far the one most upset by this new turn of events, and the brief mentions of James' and Jessie's pasts found in the previous episode are more or less fully explained.
Episode IX ~Betrayed By Wishes;~
~ Nozomi ni Uragirare;
~
Episode X ~--Avenged By Hope~
~ --Kibou ni Fukushuu
Sareru ~
Episode X ~Transparent,
Intangible, A Faint Sigh...~
~ Toumei Mukei
Kasukani Toiki ~
Episode XI ~Like a Star, Like a Firefly~
~ Hoshi no Youni, Hotaru no Youni ~
Twelve is the estimated amount of episodes for Touch and Go.
