Jupiter
The king of the Gods
Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. It is a gas giant, mostly composed of hydrogen. The gas clouds circle the planet in visible bands with the most noticable containing the great Red Storm. The storm rages with winds over 500 mph!!! The clouds are so thick that we are unsure if it has a solid surface. Jupiter also has 16 moons! Jupiter also has a series of very faint rings, much like saturns but too small for the naked eye. Jupiter has been known to exist since early times, it was the main reason Gallileo chose to believe in the Copernicum Theurum that states the earth revolves around the sun.
