Saturn

The Father of Time

Saturn is a marvel to look at in a telescope. We all have heard that Saturn has 3 rings, but when you actually SEE them, it all becomes more real. Though, Saturn doesnt just have 3 rings, just 3 easily visible bands of rings. There are actually thousands of small rings made up of chunks of ice, rock and other space debris. Saturn is another gas giant but its density is such that if you put all of the planets (sun too!) into a bucket of water, Saturn would be the only one to float. Saturn also has large numbers of moons, with Titan and Mimas being the most interesting to me. Titan has active volcanoes on it and an atmosphere similar to a primordial Earth. Mimas you just have to see on your own.
