**for Suzi**
Rated G (For now)

continued from CH 1

"And now I'd like to introduce to you a new kid in town. Her first book, already on the best seller list after only 2 weeks in publication. And the book 'Down Home Love' is said to be a close rival to the new book out by Danielle Steele. Lets meet this woman, shall we? Ladies and gentlemen, Suzi Miller!"

Suzi came out with a smile plastered on her face. "Just smile, show teeth, look happy and everything will be alright." She went up and hugged David before sitting next to his desk. It was hot from all the lights but she kept the smile on her face as he fired away questions. At first each question made her nervous, but after the first 5 she was starting to relax and even have fun. From the looks of it she was winning over the audience.

Katrina stood on the side watching, praying that Suzi would make it through this, and yet the real shock wasn't even coming yet. She listened as Suzi laughed at a couple of David's jokes, even doing the old flirting move of putting her hand on his forearm. She said a couple of lines and got the audience laughing. This was going perfect.

"Excuse me, I've got to get through." Katrina scooted over as the producer stood in front of her and following him was none other than Donnie Wahlberg. She stared at him sneakily as he watched Suzi from the sidelines. The producer was trying to give him the rundown and all he did was shake his head and look over the producer to Suzi. A couple of minutes later Kat heard Dave's voice again.

"And now, we didn't think this guy would make it, you know with his outrageous porno career." The audience and Suzi gasped. "Oh waitwrong card, that's his brother Mark. Oops, and I pay these people good money." He grinned at the audience. "Movie career, that's what I meant, rated G, movies. Everyone, please welcome Donnie Wahlberg.

Katrina watched Suzi as her face suddenly froze up and she looked slightly to the side to see Donnie stride towards her. He shook Dave's hand, smiled at her and took the seat next to her.

"What the hell is HE doing here?" She said to herself while smiling at him. She inwardly groaned thinking that she looked like a big dork sitting there cheesing.

"So Donnie, what brings you to our humble studio?"

"WellI wanted to meet the lovely woman that wrote that book. I've been so entranced with it." Donnie deadpanned and for a second everyone believed him.

"Oh. Well. And here I thought it was for your new movie."

"Nah, kidding, it is, but hey, I'm glad to meet her too." He smiled at her again and winked making Suzi's heart do a double take. In all her years she'd never ever expect to be sitting next to Donnie Wahlberg on a late night talk show. She watched Donnie's lips move as he explained his new movie but she didn't hear a sound. She looked adoringly at his face wanting to jump him right then and there. "Oh damn, can't we cut to a commercial or something?" Her inner voice said, suddenly she heard Dave announcing a clip from Donnie's movie. She tore her gaze away from him to watch the monitor. Donnie was doing an action movie and he looked extra good as he jumped around boxes and through cars holding his gun.

"So Suzi, you have any questions for Mr. Action here?" Dave said.

"Well. Um. Donnie, do you die in this movie to?" It was the only thing she could think of, to say on national tv. The audience laughed and she smiled taking it all in.

"Well you'll just have to go and see won't you?" Donnie sat back leaning on his elbow and gave her his trademark smile.

"Uh, well, I. Yes, I just will, I mean I haven't missed one yet."

"Oh a fan." Dave started playing on this. "From his acting or his peace sign days?"

"Um, both actually."

"Oh, and old school fan." Donnie was impressed.

"Yep. In fact, had I known you were going to be here, I would have brought one of my old Bop posters on stage you to sign." The audience laughed again.

"Well, now it's my turn. I'd love for an autographed copy of your book." Time was running out and Dave had to cut it short. He thanked them both for being there and suddenly it was over.

"You two did such a great job, thank you so much. It was a pleasure meeting both of you." Dave hugged Suzi and shook Donnie's hand. In a few minutes they were all backstage. Katrina joined Suzi in her makeshift dressing room as she almost keeled over with delight.

"THE Donnie Wahlberg, sitting up there with me! Can you believe it? I can't. Pinch me." Katrina advanced on her and Suzi stopped her.

"Well, you asked. Your luck is going strong girl. Could this be a coincidenceor fate?"

"Yeah well, lest we forget, the man is married." Katrina took that into account and shook her head. She'd forgotten. "It was nice though, and I'll always have it on tape." They freshened up a little and headed out of the room almost knocking down Donnie who was standing right outside.

"Whoa ladies, where's the fire?"

"You been outside? The whole city of New York is the fire." Katrina moved around him leaving him standing face to face with Suzi. "Oh by the way, I'm Katrina, the brains behind the star."

"Hey!"

"Just telling it like it is honey." Kat ducked before Suzi hit her in the head.

"So, that autographed book?" Suzi breathed in his cologne, he was really standing too close for comfort.

"Oh, well, we gave Dave my last one here. You don't plan on being on Leno anytime soon do you?"

"Nope, don't have the pleasure."

"Well I have a couple back in my room" She heard the gasp from Katrina. "So I could mail you one or send it to your hotel." She eyed her friend, she wasn't about to go there.

"How about during drinks?"

"Drinks?"

"Yes, me, you, and you." He said pointing at Katrina. "At the Waldorf, say about 8:00 tonight?" His eyes burned into Suzi's and she immediately felt confused. Here he was married and he wanted to have drinks with them?

"Hello, drinks, it's not like he's asking for marriage or even a one night stand." Her mind said. "Sure, drinks. No problem, and I'll get that book for you." Donnie nodded, and wrote down his room number at the Ritz. "Don't leave me waiting beautiful." He whispered into her ear before walking away.

"Don't leave me waiting beautiful?" Katrina mimicked his tone as he left. "He may be married but he is still on eternal flirting mode."
