Sunday Baptismal

A drunk stumbles along a baptismal service on Sunday

afternoon down by the river. he proceed to walk down

into the water and stand next to the preacher.

The minister turn and notices the old drunk and says,

"Minister, are you ready to find Jesus?"

The drunk looks back and says, "Yesss, Preacher...I sure

am"

The minister then dunks the fellow under the water and

pulls him right back up. "Have you found Jesus?" the

preacher asked.

"Noooo, didn't " said the drunk.

The preacher then dunks him under for quite a bite longer,

brings him up and says, "Now brother, have you found

Jesus?"

"Nooo, I didn't " said the drunk.

The Preacher then dunks him under for quite a bit longer,

brings him up and says, "Now brother, have you found

"No..., I did not Reverend"

The preacher in disgust holds the man under for at least

30 seconds this time, brings him out of the water and says

in a harsh tone, "My God man, have you found Jesus yet?"

The old drunk wipes his eyes and says to the preacher

"Are you sure this is where he fell in?"

Jhon D. Rockefelleer built the great standard Oil Empire. No surprisingly, Rockefeller was a man who demanded high preformance from his company executives. One day, one of those executives made a two millio dollar mistake.

Word of the man's enormous error quickly spread throughout the excecutive offices, and other man began to make themselves scarce. Afraid of Rockefeller's reaction, they didn't even want to cross his path. One man didn't have any choice, however, since he had an appointment with the boss. So he straightened his shoulders and thigtened his belt and walked into Rockefeller's office. As he approached the oil monarch's desk, Rockefeller looked up from the piece of paper on which he was writing.

"I guess you've heard about the two millions dollar mistake our friend made" he said abrupttly.

Yes the excecutive said, expecting Rockefeller to explode.

"Well, I've been sitiing here listing all of ours friend's qualities on this sheet of paper, and I've discovered that in the past he has made us many more times the amount he lost for us today by his mistake. His good points far outweigh this one human error. I think we ought to forgive him, don't you?"
