The city launched the program in recognition of the ultimate aim of everything that the government does is peace and order and/or the security of lives and properties, and that the best measure of emergency services is response time. Marikina City Funeral Assistance project
The program was lunched in cooperation with the Department of social welfare and development to help those who are badly in need. Free coffin, mortuary equipment and a tent will be provided by the general services office during the wake. The service is limited only to three (3) days to accomodate other beneficiaries. A fee of 2500.00 for the embalming and the use of a hearse will be paid by the family. But in extreme cases, and when recommended by the DSWD, even these expenses and that of the burial plot in the City Cemetery may either be waived or reduced. |
Jeepney / Tricycle Routing
Public Utility Jeepneys / Tricycles are required by the city office to be registered at the LTFRB, TRU and other government agencies. Color coding are assigned to every vehicle depending on their routing, the franchising board of marikina decides as to what color should be allowed to a particular vehicle. The purpose of this campaign is to further extend its services and to avoid confusions on the part of commuters. The purpose has been achieved and was also able to resolve the traffic problem of the city. |
