Heero is the character that *everybody* likes right off the bat. I mean, he *is* the main protagonist and he's really pretty, but I didn't like him at first. ::shrug:: I don't even remember why. I love him now, though. I don't know. Heero's usually paired with either Relena Darlian/Peacecraft or Duo. I prefer him with the latter because the former deserves to be strangled with a garden hose. She's annoying as hell. Duo's only half-genki. 'Course I love Duo! There's a hell of a lot of 2x1 hints throughout the series. And then the fact that one of the GW script writers went off to make 2x1 doujinshis is enough proof for me! ^-^ Fanfic Cliches for Heero: Vocabulary is made of of "Hn", "Aa", "Omae o korosu", "Nimnu ryoukai/kandu" and "Baka". Japanese fic writers tend to make him the uke while Americans prefer Heero as the seme. Multiple flashbacks to the little girl with the dog that he killed...basically overuse of the line "'Niisan, are you lost?" Overuse of the term "the Perfect Soldier". He's also written as awkward with his emotions, can pull everything but the kitchen sink out of his pants, and gives the Yuy Glare-o-Doom to anyone in the room. I love Duo! He's just *so* stereotypically American! And who can't love a guy that calls himself Shinigami (the God of Death)? I saw a fansub Endless Waltz before the series, so boy was I surprised when I heard Scott McNeil's voice coming out of Duo's mouth instead of Seki Toshihiko. It took a while to get used to... Duo's my favorite character to write about. My fanfics are usually centralized around him. Duo has been paired with *everybody*. Even his Gundam, Professor G, and all 40 Maguanacs. I think Duo got slapped with the label "Series Slut" early on, and the only reason that's assumed is because of his overly angsty childhood. More commonly he's with Heero or Hilde; I see Hilde more as a friend or little sister figure to Duo, but I'm an extreme 1x2x1 fan. I'll also read a 2x4 because it looks really pretty but there isn't any real basis behind it unless there is an AU situation behind the story. Fanfic Cliches for Duo: Drugs, drinking, and rape. Not to mention community whore. I don't know why people do that to him. I never did. Okay, okay, I've gotten him drunk *once* but people tend to make him an alcoholic. Overuse of the phrases "I run; I hide; but I never lie...Duo Maxwell!" and "Boys don't cry". People like to torture him by either making Duo a transvestite, getting a sex change, or cutting his hair. Suicide or self-mutilation is also quite popular for this bishie-boy. And for some reason they think Duo had a sexual relationship with Solo even though Duo was, like, five... { Back to Top }

So does that fringe, actually, but I grew to love him. He's just so depressing sometimes. LOL. Not to mention his dub actor is Kirby Morrow. He used to be paired with Catherine until the series developed and we came to realize that 3xC was INCEST! He's paired with others, but Quatre's the most common. That might be because 3x4 is canon. I REPEAT: 3x4 IS CANON!!! Fanfic Cliches for Trowa: Rape victim, never talks, overuse of his athletic abilities, normally used like the human Gumby, normally has feelings for Quatre but he feels too unworthy and Quatre feels too shy or doesn't want to impose so Heero and Duo or Wufei have to play mediator. ::rolls eyes:: There are 800 thousand stories like that! Quatre is such a cutie! And damn was I surprised when I heard is dub voice. I was like "Oh my GOD he sounds like a GUY!" LOL. And then he plays the violin, piano, and probably others. I'm a known sucker for string instruments. Think about it...Yama-kun from Digimon is a bassist and Hiiro-kun from Gravitation is a guitarist. ::swoons:: Paired with either Trowa or Dorothy. The situation is normally Quatre's sisters want him to marry [insert random female character, Mary Sue or canon], but he really loves Trowa. Yes I do read a lot of fanfics. Fanfic Cliches for Quatre: Guilt trips (did I mention he's an expert at feeling guilty?), and overused "uchuu no kokoro", ZERO System flashbacks, more guilt, apologizing to everyone, pink fetishes, cross-dressing, blushing, being innocent, being a virgin (yes I did say virgin), normally portrayed as a wussy fighter (I think he kicks ass, personally; not his fault he had a little less training than the other guys), mother hen role, either overly-angsty or overly-fluffy, having an over-protective Rashid shadow his every movement, not wanting the damn cooperation and leaving all his sisters in charge of it, supplying safehouses in every country/town/colony possible because otherwise there would be a plothole, normally has a stuffed animal of some sort. It took me a loooong time to get to like Wufei. I don't even know if I do now. I swear if he called me "Onna!" I'd give him a run for his money. Or a stiletto heel in his balls. Whichever. I think he's like Animal from the Muppets. You know that pic with Wu-man playing the drums? Think about it. What's Animal say? "WOMAN! WOMAN! WOMAN!" What does Wu-bear say? "ONNA! ONNA! ONNA!" See what I mean? Usually paired with either Sally, Zechs and Treize, or Meiran. Sally is usually in EU stories whereas Zechs and Treize are during in series stories with Meiran in anything that's AU because, well, she's dead. Sometimes paired with his Gundam. LOL. I saw a 5xSandrock once. I wanna know what the author was smoking. Quatre wasn't too happy about it. ^-~ Fanfic Cliches for Wufei: Nose-bleeds, ranting about justice, bigoted, normally bald by the time he's 20, known to threaten Duo's hair with his katana, normally goes from jackass to sweety-pie to outcast in one story.
