One true way to realize a hypocrite and a liar is to understand how they use the language. The Greeks love to call the US: Proponents of Imperialism. Any idiot with a dictionary can see that the US is NOT and Imperialistic power. They have NOT COLONIZED ANY foreign lands since Hawaii! They have NO INTENTION to colonize Iraq and would like nothing better than to leave the security to the Iraqis and go home to their wives and children.

People who have a low intelligence STILL think that the US went for the oil. If they took the oil for FREE, it would still cost more to process it and ship it all the way to the US than it would to just import it from Venezuela, Mexico, Canada and Nigeria.

I'll bet you didn't know that out of the top 36 nations that the US imports petroleum products from, there are only 3 Middle-Eastern/Arab nations! (bet you'll never hear THAT in Greece either).

There are cases that US troops have stayed over in such foreign lands such as Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. These were there to keep those countries safe from lunatics like Saddam. Now that the Butcher of Baghdad is gone, the US is removing ALL the troops from Saudi Arabia. Got it?

The official Webster's dictionary translation for Imperialism goes like this:

Im`pe´ri`al`ism n. 1. The power or character of an emperor; imperial authority; the spirit of empire. Roman imperialism had divided the world.       - C. H. Pearson.

2. The policy, practice, or advocacy of seeking, or acquiescing in, the extension of the control, dominion, or empire of a nation, as by the acquirement of new, esp. distant, territory or dependencies, or by the closer union of parts more or less independent of each other for operations of war, copyright, internal commerce, etc. The practise of building or extending an empire. The tide of English opinion began to turn about 1870, and since then it has run with increasing force in the direction of what is called imperialism.           - James Bryce.

As anyone with at least a small brain can see: The US would like nothing better than to get the hell out of Iraq as quick as possible. The MANY UN resolutions that authorized the removal of Saddam (like UNSCR 707 - UNSCR 687 - UNSCR 1441) have been exercised. Time for the Iraqi people to finally stand up and take control of the security of their own country. THEN the US will leave.
