Welcome to i.am/partymistress

Dear potential partier,

I created this site to provide inspiration to amateur partying, from student parties to housewarmings. Many of the ideas, themes and costumes can be adapted for children's parties. However, it is really aimed at those of us who never really grew up and who always wanted to be one of the kings in the nativity play because they got the grooviest outfits!

If nothing else, your theme will be the best ice-breaker you could wish for; there's always going to be the topic of conversation among your guests of "I can't believe he/she/they did this!"

May your ice never melt and your carpets stay stain-free!

Vote of thanks

to my old housemates Kate, Alex and Harry for putting up with my mad schemes and having the patience to make papier mache alien heads! My college mates of Di, Claire, Ralph, Kien and Suzie et al have been stalwarts of nearly all our parties. CUP have excelled themselves in costumes, from monks to mad Blackadder impressions. Thanks also to Jim and assorted housemates - although the traffic cone wasn't necessary. And of course the young 'uns of Chadders - what would our parties be without you? Thanks to Phil, Pali, Martin, Nicola, Francis, Carine and Simon, Stephen, Tim, Beth, Alex H., It's My Boss! (respect), and all you other party animals! May the tradition be upheld. Kia Ora to Sally in Wellington, New Zealand, the glamorous hostess of Cabaret and Aaron Spelling Presents themed parties. It's good to know that Party Mistresses exist the world over. Glorious! And howdy to Party Master Michel Fougeres - yee hah!
