Our organization and educational establishments in St. Petersburg have a special agreement for foreign students admission, where the educational entrance requirements have been reduced to a high school or equivalent certificate of finishing 10-12 grades.
The candidate must possess 70 % marks in the high school subjects relevant to the higher educational field in which he/she would like to study. If you have not completed your high school education or if the admission committee decides that your qualifications do not meet the requirements we can collaborate the preparatory course with a EDIS bridge course, which will upgrade your high school knowledge to the admission requirements of the educational establishments.
A certificate stating that the candidate has completed the preparatory faculty in a recognized higher educational establishment (required for Russian Language courses) – 6-8 months. This preparatory course can be held in collaboration with a bridge course to upgrade the qualifications of applicants who haven’t completed their high school studies. The subjects covered in this course are Russian 60% & and relevant subjects depend on the specialty.

Admission Procedure
The following documents should be submitted to us ( by E-mail, Fax, or Post ):
1. Filled application form
2. Copy of valid passport (only the pages which consist passport details)
3. Copy of High School Certificates & other educational Documents
4. Letter of intent confirming that you agree with our rules and regulations.
To receive application form and letter of intent pleaseinquire us.
Once we receive these documents, they are forwarded to the admission committee of the desired educational establishment. In the event of acceptance of the application, a student entry visa for the candidate will be processed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation within 5 working days. Within 10-12 working days our organization will send the invitation to the relevant consulate with a copy to you. Once you receive the invitation you are free to apply for the student entrance visa at the relevant consulate. The Education Development International together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation guarantees that the embassy will issue you an entry visa on an invitation issued by us.
Important! Please note that the immigration authorities in Russian Airports require that a representative from the educational establishment meet students from certain countries (Asian, African and other third world countries). Therefore please notify us at least 3 days in advance before leaving for St. Petersburg so that we can arrange our representative to meet you.
You should bring the following with you to St. Petersburg:
-10 photographs
-Health certificate indicating that the candidate is mentally & physically fit
-An additional certificate stating that he/she isn't color-blind (in case the candidate wishes to study medicine).
-Originals of your educational certificates and other documents. It is recommended that copies of all documents are certified at the relevant embassies of the Russian Federation
-Money to cover your personal expenses and Educational fees (Can be transferred by Bank)
Please note that the student visa will be provided by the higher educational establishment only for the period for which a student has paid his/her educational fees.
Also note that under the passport & visa regulations of the Russian Federation you have to handover your passport and entrance visa to the educational establishment through signing a contract with the Education Development International within 3 days of your arrival to St. Petersburg. Failure to comply with this regulation could lead to the student being fined or even deported back to their home country.
The academic year begins on the 1st of September and therefore it is recommended that students submit their applications before the 30th of June. The Dead line for admission application is the 20th of August. Late admissions could also be organized through our organization on special cases.
Some educational establishments work on non standard academic years. In the months of September/October new batches are enrolled every two weeks. In some educational establishments the admissions are accepted in September and January. Therefore please contact us for current admission dates.

We also provide a special one month "adoption period" assistance to show the students the educational establishment, the city transport system, and introduce them with the Administration of the Educational Establishment.
13. No advance payments required. All payment of education fees could be made on arrival to St. Petersburg.
14. We meet the students at the airport or what ever end destination, and escort them to their place of accommodation.
15. The candidate can enter the educational establishment even if the applicant hasn't finished his/her high school education or doesn't have the required amount of marks. In this case the applicant will have to attend a special EDIS bridge course at the educational establishments
16. We offer education possibilities at all levels and for all ages.
Price: The price for education changes every year and in certain cases is based on the country of residence of the applicant. This is because the standards demanded by some countries are higher which leads to higher costs for the provision of services. Please inform your field of interest in concrete so that we could send you the fee structure.
