In
the summer of 1999, I spent my summer vacation working as a temporary contract
producer for the newmedia department of a major advertising firm. There I
produced banner advertisements and splash pages for the IBM Magic Box
server campaign. I learned about new media development
methodologies, documentation and client/server relationships.
The splash page with rollover effect shown below was served in Fall, 1999
for the S390 campaign. The splash page contained a call to action that lead to advertising copy deck. The copy deck contained a
link to a special offers page from IBM Business Partners along with a standard e-mail form requesting more information for follow up by a local IBM partner or sales
office.
