SVSL field observation method assumes an arrangement of two spatial array systems on the ground
surface - reception aperture and seismic wave
synthesized emitting aperture. In order to provide
a side view operation mode, these apertures have to be located somewhere beyond the studied
area. Emission and
reception points are uniformly distributed within respective apertures.
Both excitation and registration techniques do not differ from those used in traditional methods
of seismic observation and, therefore, are not more
expensive and can be provided by ordinary
seismic equipment.
